Miguel Olascuaga
Atlanta, GA
After starting his career 25 years ago at Black Cat Tattoo in Panama City Beach, Miguel made a significant move back to Georgia in 2011. There, he established himself as a skilled traditional tattoo artist and a valued community member. This foundation led him to open Black Cat ATL in 2021, named in honor of his late mentor’s original shop in Atlanta, creating a meaningful full-circle moment.
The paintings Miguel began after Black Cat ATL opened are based on nostalgic images from the past, reimagined with a fresh perspective. These works are part of his preparation for a book release, reflecting his respect for tradition while exploring new creative directions.
